Major shopping is available at Runaway Bay (all shopping needs - supermarket, delicatessan, meats, groceries, fruit shop, bakeries, liquor store, etc). You can wheel your trolley to the jetty to load onto the water taxi.

How long does it take to get there by water taxi from Runaway Bay ? 15minutes. Once you get on that boat all your troubles seem to disappear!!! Water taxi is the most viable option and will operate when it suits you. Cost $80-$100approx depending on number of guests and luggage. ( please check with water taxi )
How far in advance do we need to book the water taxi? It is advisable to book the water taxi the day before it is required.
Nearest Airport? Brisbane airport and Coolangatta airports are both 30minutes drive away to runaway bay.
Shopping on the island? Basic shopping can be done at the two resorts on the island. Couran Point resort and Couran Cove Resort. There is also a kiosk nearby.
Is there a barbeque? Yes, there is a great barbeque on the deck overlooking the pool and the beach.
Do we need to bring any kitchen items? The kitchen is very well equipped and will satisfy most needs.

How far is the resort? Only 5 minutes walk.
Can I hold my wedding here? Istania has been set up as an upmarket holiday home for domestic purposes, therefore, it doesn't cater for larger groups. However, if it were a small special dinner party (up to 15) it could be arranged through our recommended events coordinator who can arrange everything for you and make sure all is left in the same state.
